Ballast Point has finally opened it’s new 12,000 square-foot restaurant, tasting room, and R&D Brewery in Chicago’s Fulton Market District. We were able to stop in a few days ago and get some 360 images taken.
The new location is handicap accessible, kid friendly, offers beer to go, plenty of TVs for sports, and has several semiprivate and private areas available for meetings and party reservations. There is also a rather slick looking tap handle wall.
The brew house is a three barrel system with its inaugural run already in process. The cream ale brewed for the location’s opening should be ready soon.
The nearly 40-seat bar offers 100-plus tap lines. Many of the forty to fifty different beers on tap will include R&D beers only available in Chicago.
